As The POD enters its second season, I wanted to pause and reflect on the journey that brought us here. What began as a leap of faith, choosing courage over perfection, has grown into a space for authentic leadership, vulnerability, and compassionate care. Season 1 taught me that leadership isn’t about doing it all, but about showing up with presence, listening deeply, and creating environments where others can thrive.

In this special episode, I share the key lessons woven through our first ten episodes, from authenticity and vulnerability to compassion as a strategy and the long game of healthcare transformation. I also give a preview of the incredible leaders that will join us in Season 2, they will carry forward the themes of Season 1 while offering new insights on equity, wellness, and the courage to lead.

Season 2 promises to be even more transformative, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey with you.

Key Topics:

The orca embodies the strength, intelligence, and collaborative spirit
I bring to healthcare leadership.

Orcas are apex navigators; powerful yet graceful, moving through complex waters with calm precision. They thrive in tight-knit pods, where collaboration and communication are essential to success. Like these remarkable creatures, effective healthcare leadership requires both courage and wisdom to lead through connection, align teams around a shared purpose and navigate toward what truly matters.
